Claire's cupcake party!

For Claire's third birthday, we went with a cupcake themed party.  We had most of the family here, even the Colorado Newtons!   A few of her friends came over too!

 Best buds!  Claire was a total mess at her party and running around like a kid should!  Here Claire and Maddie are modeling the aprons that Kristie and I made for the kiddos.

Claire's Birthday!!

Grammie and Papo started the tradition on Claire's 2nd birthday to go to the Lincolnshire Marriott children's theatre.  This year, we saw Sleeping Beauty and her favorite part of the play was the dragon!  After that we had a fun lunch at Edwardo's where we also ate cupcakes and opened presents.  We followed that up with a trip to Barnes and Noble where Claire picked out a gift (a musical princess book) and got a cookie from the cafe.  What a fun day!

Pirates' Cove

Claire seemed to enjoy most of the rides, but Allie was still a bit too young.  Here are a few photos from the day. 

 The carousel was her favorite!

 She went on the train a few times and the water boats twice.  We met up with her friend Ethan but we missed our chance to get a photo before we went our separate ways!

 She also enjoyed the big slide.  I saw her talking to a few kids on the top of the slide and Claire told me that she was telling them not to go in front of her because it was her turn.  Way to stand up for yourself Claire!

Celebrating Amelia's First Birthday!

We love baby Amelia!  She just celebrated her first birthday!  Can you tell who was excited to help her go after her cake?

Claire got flu mist and a Hep A shot and was so freaked out that she was shaking.  She got over it quickly and hopefully won't have to go back for another year!  It was so weird when they took her blood pressure and asked her provide a urine sample!  She is clearly growing up!

When it's super hot and humid, we love to head to Yorktown!  First we look at the water fountain and throw in a penny or two.

Pump it up!

It's been brutally hot (again) so we decided to head to Pump it up.  Allie was so bold by the end that she was able to go up and down the slide all alone.
