We had such a fun time in Colorado! Allie got to spend a ton of time with her Aunt Lyssie, Uncle Cooper, Uncle Cayle, Granby and Gramps! We can't wait to see them again soon and take more pictures since I failed at capturing many sweet moments.

Allie is 6 months old!

My little sweetheart is halfway to one! I can't believe it. I took a picture of Allie with her favorite person before bedtime. Allie is so sweet, cuddly, and happy and we could not be more thankful for the joy and love that she adds to our family! We love our little lady!Sooo, you may be wondering about Claire's attire (or lack there of)! She was having a few minutes of alone time after her shower (not a big bath fan) because she needed to calm down. I went back into her room when she was settled, and noticed that she found her hat in her closet. She had tears and snot running down her face 30 seconds before I took this, but she recovered well and they took an adorable shot. Now why can't I ever get a good photo when they are dressed up nicely?!

Grammie's Birthday!

Lincoln Park Zoo

It was a lovely day, so we went to the city and met up with Aubriana, Hunter, and Jocelyn and the Lincoln Park Zoo. Things were a little hectic because the zoo was so crowded. Allie was awake most of the trip, but was an angel.

Mission accomplished!! Claire finally got to see the giraffes. She was NOT happy when we had to leave them.

Claire enjoyed watching the sea lions. We thought that they looked like Nappie!

Allie's 6 month stats

Allie is almost 6 months old! She was a great girl at the doctor's office today. She decided to show off and roll over (back to front) for the doctor!

Yes, it's in the 80's, but Claire won't take her darn hat off! She finally took it off at the Rainforest Cafe because she knows that she isn't suppose to wear it when she eats. She is a goof!

Mother's Day

I really enjoyed my Mother's Day. We started off by going to 11 am church with the Welke's. I then took a walk with Allie and Nappie. We grabbed Kristie and Dane and went to Starbucks. Later that afternoon, we went to the Welke's for a BBQ. We listened to the "mom mix" and the girls were being so good and had a blast together. What a lucky momma I am!

Brookfield Zoo

On Friday, Claire, Allie and I met up with Heather and Frankie at the Brookfield Zoo. We lucked out because it was a beautiful day! It was Allie's first time at the zoo and Claire's first time at Brookfield. It's such a big zoo that we didn't get to the elephants and giraffes. I felt so bad, because Claire kept talking about giraffes on the way to the zoo. I guess that means that we will have to go back soon and see them!Claire liked feeding the goats with Frankie and Heather at the children's zoo. A funny moment occured when a goat decided to lay down on Claire's shoe! She couldn't move her foot, so Heather had to rescue her!

They spent a while admiring the dolphins. It was cool because they kept swimming directly in front of us.

What's happening now

Claire
-Has recently started calling me "mommy" at times instead of "momma" and I'm not use to it!
-Used her big girl potty! She surprised me when she stood up, but she hasn't wanted to go on it since...bummer!
-Has been super affectionate and a big cuddle bug!
-As far as colors go, instead of everything being blue, it's now "blue or red" instead!
-Just started to like Barney! She is into singing and dancing.
-Does not like being confined in her stroller very much. She always tells me that she wants to walk.

Allie
-Is working on crawling and rolling, before we know it, she will be very mobile!
-Is one excellent baby girl! She had her first trip to the zoo today. She slept in her stroller the majority of the time, but when she was awake, gave us lots of smiles!

Rice Cereal

Last week, Allie had her first taste of food! She did ok, but spit the majority of it out. We started out in the highchair and ended in the bumbo, which worked better. She did better a few days later and by the third time, she was a champ!
